Day one is coming to a close as cocktail hour approaches, and here is what I accomplished: Nada. Zip. Rien. Not a goddam thing. The list of five level two cleaning projects? Only exists in my head so far. I haven't put it on paper, but I know what needs to be done. One thing lead to another today and the day got away from me and now its five p.m. and there is no way I'm cleaning the blinds now.
It was actually a productive day, all things considered. I had last night's dishes done, the dishwasher loaded and running, L's lunch made and breakfast cleaned up all before 8 a.m. and that doesn't suck. I washed my hair, made carrot soup, had an appointment, talked on the phone (but only briefly) signed L up for the school's variety show, saw my mom and finished her left over herring salad (delish) and took L to piano lessons. Tomorrow morning I have some PTA MILFs coming over here for a meeting, and I was kind of hoping my house would be ever so slightly cleaner than it is right now, but that is not going to happen. Sorry, girls. Come to think of it, I can't even make a pot of coffee since our coffee maker's carafe shattered. Hm. I guess I can't serve wine at 8:30 in the morning either? Are you sure??

You may not be able to serve wine, but you can totally get away with mimosas!
Nope...but you can totally serve mimosas (as mentioned above) or, if they are cool MILF's they'll totally be down for bloody mary's. And please, when you do clean the blinds tell me all about it. My blinds are actually so dirty that the dust has cemented and I just tell people we're cutting edge in owning gray blinds.
